Intake is Sunday 30th October and the “Meet the Artists” Cheese and Wine event is Thursday 3rd November.
Still Life Finalist in Australian Artist magazine’s, Art Prize Challenge No.65, for “Pears in a Glass”.
Tony Belabrajdic very kindly donated 2 watercolour paintings for the raffle.
400 raffle tickets were sold raising $700 and the funds raised are to be given to the Tara Costigan Foundation for assistance to women suffering domestic violence.
Prize winners were drawn at the meeting on 2 August – Congratulations to :
1st prize won by member Drini Quin and 2nd prize to Dr Rita Crews.
The Viewers’ Choice Prize has been won by David Hammersley’s ‘Bobbin Head – Murrua Track Lookout’. The winning ‘Viewer’ is Becca.
St Ives Shopping Centre Management supports the Society in many ways.
The Centre Management has inquired whether members would be interested in doing a demonstration in the Centre from time to time. Anyone who was interest should contact Robyne Berling.
Awards Exhibition Report:
Robyne Berling reports that the exhibition has been successful, with many complimentary comments being received. She thanks all who have worked hard to make it happen, especially Suzanne Lane, Bryan Freer and Bill Filson.
