Our December Christmas meeting was a celebration of a successful year with grateful appreciation extended to all members who contributed and volunteered to support the society in one way or another.
Congratulations were extended to all those who “Sold” during the year’s exhibitions.
Many lucky door prize winners went home with a gift to go under their Christmas tree.
An excellent sharing of Christmas fare followed the formal meeting where all members caught up on the chat.
Congratulations to all the exhibiting members that displayed in The Spring Exhibit, an overall beautiful display of high quality works, a credit to our Society.
Nearly 30% of exhibited Artworks have sold, congratulations to those Artists.
Thank you to those KAS Members that assisted with the pre planning, the advertising, promotion artwork and printing, advertising banners, the roster scheduling, the entry compilation, the pre cataloging, the label printing, the Village Management liaison, the transport and set up of the exhibition furniture, the mounting and checking of the display lights, the artwork label printing and allocation, the support management software maintenance, the website maintenance, the intake selection team, the ramp runners, the supply of labour and ladders and hanging material for ramp one, the intake teams, the hanging teams, the overall financial and cash management, the daily supply and collection and charging of credit card machine, moneys, telephone, entry and sales documentation, etc… and the reverse for the pull down and pack up. KAS is a Volunteer Society. The majority of those few members that carried out the above, are the “same those” that did the same for many past exhibitions. The annual July Awards exhibition has many additional tasks to the above. These three annual exhibitions are very successful for our members, and requires a huge effort for a relatively small volunteer society. Our President, Charmaine has recently been active on many fronts communicating to all members in many ways, asking for All Members to step forward, help share and spread the overall load, not just for exhibitions, and be much more active in supporting the Society. A Big Thank You to the few members that have responded and have offered Charmaine their services to the Society. If you are just considering, then give Charmaine a call and have a chat.
