Our 2012 Annual Awards Exhibition opened on Sunday 22 July for our first extended period to eleven days thanks to our wonderful hosts in St Ives Shopping Village The exhibition closed on the Ist August and was a great success with 68 paintings sold.
Opening night on the 25 July was also well attended with all bar one prize winner in attendance. The Exhibition Awards Night was attended with many representatives of our supporting sponsors and our gratitude was formally extended to them in the speeches.
The exhibition was opened by Jonathon OED’s MP, our local state member of Parliament. Also in attendance was our former guest speaker Paul Fletcher MP who presented the inaugural Bradfield Prize for a painting to our Exhibition Manager.
Prize winning paintings, which had not sold were invited to be hung at the Ku-ring-gai Council Foyer from the 6 August for 3 months. immediately following the conclusion of the Awards Exhibition Special thanks to Ku-ring-Gai Council for their support.
The whole exhibition was a great success and our judges, Barry and Lucy McCann summed up with the following comment.
“Very Impressed about the quality of the show. Selection of works are of a very high standard and very professionally presented.”
