Our Guest speaker for the General Meeting on 1 October is Chris Haldane – Urban Sketcher.
Chris will talk about her history of urban and travel sketching and show her gorgeous sketch books. As one of the founding members of Urban Sketchers in Australia, Chris has a passion for drawing and while some sketches end up as large finished works, many are just for her own pleasure. She enjoys sketching both while travelling and when at home in the urban environment. She is keen to record the changes in the built environment as well as people going about their daily lives. Following a career in teaching, Chris completed Tertiary studies in Art and now has the time to indulge in her lifelong passion of drawing.
