Our Guest Speaker for the KAS April Meeting – David Wells
David is an Australian Visual Artist and Performer, he is based in Queensland on Macleay Island.
David Wells was born into an artistic family, but didn’t start painting until he was 26 years old. And he hasn’t wasted anytime since then! He has exhibited extensively in Brisbane, and the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, with work also appearing in shows, galleries and competitions in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. His work has been regularly published in international journals, and has featured on the cover of both “The Artists Magazine” and “The Pastel Journal.”
He is an eclectic artist having worked professionally as an actor, gr aphic artist, dancer, web designer, circus and street performer, musician, children’s entertainer and visual artist. His long list of awards includes international First Prizes, Overall Grand Champion, Finalist and Honourable Mentions for his figurative work including animals. His stunning pastel work was featured internationally on the cover of both the Pastel Journal and The Artist Magazine.
