Our Guest Speaker for the September 2018 meeting – Carla Hananiah
Carla Hananiah’s work explores the sense of place in her sumptious use of colour and contrast, movement and light.
Her expressive landscape paintings are primarily done in oil paint and create vivid and evocative impressions of places she obviously loves.
Carla has a Master of Fine Arts by Research/Master of Art from UNSW Art and Design. She has held exhibitions in Sydney with Arthouse Gallery and in Brisbane with Edwina Corlette Gallery.
A finalist in painting prizes including the Mosman Art Prize, Blacktown Art Prize, Fisher’s Ghost, Waverly, John Leslie and Blake Prizes to name a few, we are very fortunate to have her as guest speaker next general meeting
