workshop with Dee Jackson on Saturday July 13th 2013.
Learn how to create life-like portraits using photographs or digital images as reference material and using your preferred medium (watercolour, oils, pastel, acrylics, pencil, charcoal etc.).
Dee will show you how to look at composition as well as the shadows and shapes that make up a recognisable portrait. She will demonstrate how to measure facial features, eyes, nose, mouth etc. and illustrate expression, and show how a simple shape can create emotion and convey a life-like appearance.
It will be great fun and an exciting challenge for beginner portraitists as well as experienced artists.
You can download Dee’s material list here.
