– workshop with Liz Steel on Saturday November 16, 2013.
We all want to sketch and/or keep a sketchbook journal when we travel – but how does one find the time to stop and set up for a painting? Is at all possible when traveling with others? The goal of this workshop is to prove to you that it is!
Successful travel sketching is all about being prepared, having a simple art kit that is readily accessible, having a couple of strategies for seizing opportunities and an attitude to just go for it!
I will share with you many tips and tricks that I have developed over the last few years of extensive travel in the USA and Europe. Through a series of exercises we will explore different media and techniques that can be used in typical situations while traveling – such as standing in a queue, or stopping for a coffee, or the luxury of an hour to ourselves to paint.
There is nothing quite like sketching while traveling. The act of trying to quickly capture the moment often creates very special moments – you become part of the place and amazing things start happening around you.
I want to share my passion of on-location sketching with you and inspire you to seize the moment!
Please pay by 16th October.
