The Ku-ring-gai Council held our Exhibition, during the Council Heritage and Create Ku-ring-gai Celebrations. The exhibition commemorates the contribution that the Ku-ring-gai Art Society (KAS) has made to the artistic culture of the Ku-ring-gai area since its inception in 1965. This exhibition, was held at the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre in Roseville and extended to Gordon Library.
It brought together Award Winning KAS Artists whose skillful ability to create, express and reimagine themselves through art was conveyed in the paintings, printmaking, and drawings on display. Recent winners at the 2023 and 2024 Annual Awards Exhibition were invited to participate.
In this remarkable exhibition, KAS artists showcased their work using a variety of mediums including Acrylic, Graphite, Pastels, Oils, Watercolour, and Mixed Media. The Exhibition was opened by the Mayor of Ku-ring-gai, Christine Kay. The extension of the Exhibition into the busy Gordon library provided additional exposure for KAS as an artistic backdrop to the Create Ku-ring-gai event featuring music, dance, and strategic workshops on the arts in our municipality.
