The Artist
- Susie started with watercolours in her twenties at the Royal Art Society. And over many years the Kuringai Art Centre provided plenty of varied tuition. She has been teaching for over ten years now at Leichhardt Art Est and Willoughby Workshop as well as giving workshops for Kuringai Art Centre, Wyong Art Society and on-going monthly workshops at Art Est.
She teaches all the points she wishes she had been told over the years as she struggled with the medium. Most importantly how to put the paint on the paper to give the best transparency and impact. Paint quality is a priority no matter what the subject. She uses a limited palette and lots of techniques to produce loose and confident-looking work.
